Heather Moehle is a Research Associate at the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan. Heather is part of the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) Initiative team, which addresses the intersection of business strategy and poverty alleviation. Her work is focused on assessing and comparing the poverty alleviation outcomes of BoP Ventures. She has co-developed a versatile tool and methodology to track local outcomes using the BoP Impact Assessment Framework. Heather has also worked in rural India and Vietnam for extended periods. Prior to coming to WDI, she obtained her Masters of Public Health and Bachelors of Science with a focus on Global Health from the University of Michigan. During her MPH she focused on global issues and malnutrition, and spent time researching the relation of child malnutrition to supplements, inter-generational breastfeeding and weaning practices. Heather has also developed surveys and evaluation plans for local Ann Arbor community organizations.
