WDI delivers a milestone 18 month assessment report on Base of the Pyramid/Social Enterprise to USAID

WDI continues to steadily make its mark as the global leader in the base-of-the-pyramid (BoP) and social enterprise (SE) research as it successfully completes an 18-month assessment and submits a report titled “The Base of the Pyramid Perspective and the Social Enterprise Methodology: Understanding the Facilitating Role for Development Agencies” to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and its partner nonprofit organization, Pact. As a result of capturing and recording the current state of play, analysis, framework, and highly useful case studies, WDI now readies itself to extend the impact of this groundbreaking work throughout the development community through creating communication tools, knowledge sharing, technical assistance in the field on designing, monitoring and evaluating BoP and SE initiatives. WDI anticipates that there are many benefits to disseminating, debating, and further refining these findings through the collaboration of the BoP research initiative and the Development Consulting Services.
