Project Summary: WDI was contracted by World Learning (under a USAID/Deloitte Touche Commercial Law Reform Program) in July 2004 to train 15 Macedonians representing the local stock market, corporations, academia, and business and legal associations in shareholder rights, protection and democracy. This two-week program involved four days of tailored classroom study in Ann Arbor, two days of company and law firm visits in Ann Arbor and Detroit, three days in New York City visiting the NY Stock Exchange, the courts and business journalists, and two days in Washington, D.C. visiting the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
