V.N. Tyagarajan (Tiger) as the featured guest at the Global Impact Speaker Series on Wednesday, September 27, 2006. The event will be held at 4:45 pm in the Executive Education Building, Room #0530, with a reception to follow.
Tiger qualified as a Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Bombay, and an MBA, majoring in Finance and Marketing from IIM, Ahmedabad. Tiger began his career with the Unilever Group in Bombay, and then joined Citibank as VP & Auto Business Director, Global Consumer Banking. He joined GE in 1994 as General Manager - Risk Management at Countrywide and went on to become CEO at GE Capital's GCF & AFS operations in India.
Tiger is widely known as one of the leaders who built
Genpact in India to be the force it has become today. In 1999, he took over as CEO of Genpact (formerly GE Capital International Services) and was responsible for its exponential growth. In October 2002, he moved to GE Commercial Equipment Finance as Senior Vice President, Quality and Global Operations based in Danbury, Connecticut. Tiger rejoined Genpact in February 2005, as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales, Marketing & Business Development for Genpact, and is based in New York City.
