Global Impact Speaker Series: Mark Sutter, Terumo Cardiovascular Systems

Mark Sutter, President and CEO of Terumo Cardiovascular Systems Corporation, will be the guest speaker at the WDI Global Impact Speaker Series on December 6, 2006. The event will be held at 4:30 pm in the Betty Ford Classroom, #1110 Ford School of Public Policy building, with a reception to follow.

Mr. Sutter’s experience in the healthcare industry spans more than twenty years and includes positions in executive management, product development, and sales and marketing for several global medical device companies, including Pall Corporation, Baxter HealthCare, and Terumo Cardiovascular Systems.

As President and CEO of Terumo Cardiovascular Systems, a subsidiary of Terumo Corporation of Japan, he is responsible for the development and manufacturing of cardiac surgery devices for all global markets and sales and marketing efforts for the US, Europe and Latin America. Former international responsibilities have also included sales and marketing management in the Japanese and Asian medical device markets.
 
Mr. Sutter received a Bachelors of Science degree with honors in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University, and a Masters of Science in Bioengineering and a MBA from the University of Michigan.
