Strategic HR Executive Program
Tuesday, August 25, 2009, Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

The William Davidson Institute and their Latin American partner, Seminarium, present:

Strategic HR Executive Program

an innovative executive education program designed for HR vice presidents, directors, and managers from throughout Latin America.

This program, to take place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia from August 25th to August 28th, will give HR executives the opportunity to strengthen and renew their professional expertise. Participants will explore the most relevant issues facing their organization’s human resource area and develop some cutting-edge approaches to problem solving.

The program will cover three topics:

HR as a strategic partner/performance management
The degree to which strategy, work, people, structure, and culture are smoothly aligned determines an organization’s ability to complete and succeed. This session will focus on the strategies of innovation, quality and low cost, and what these mean for human resource (HR) architects. We then will examine the implications of our strategic human resources management model for one particular HRM activity—performance management. Every manager, from the entrepreneur with one employee to the CEO with multiple employees, either informally or formally, evaluates the contribution of his or her employees to the overall goals of the organization.

Recruiting and Developing People
A pillar of the winning organization is to recruit and develop talent.  Organizations need people with drive, talent, and experience to succeed.  This session will focus on how to create and maintain the HR system that will help you to attract, deploy, develop, reward and retain talent in your organization.

Critical Thinking Skills for Executive Leadership:
The purpose of this workshop is to empower leaders with an enriched array of the Thinking Skills necessary to process information and solve problems at a level consistent with an aspiration to perform successfully in their next executive leadership role.  This workshop offers participants the knowledge -- and the tools -- which together set the foundation for becoming an effective practitioner of Strategic Business Thinking.  It will help you discover and cultivate your talents as a manager, as a leader, and as a catalyst for translating your ideas into action that will make a difference.  These are skills you can apply in every domain of your life.
