Special Lecture On Foreign Policy By Tom Lantos
Monday, October 29, 2007, Rackham Amphitheatre, 4th Floor Rackham School of Graduate Studies

The Ross School of Business and the William Davidson Institute will host a special lecture on U.S. foreign policy by Congressman Tom Lantos, chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee.

The lecture, “U.S. Foreign Policy in the Next Decade,” will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29 in the Rackham Amphitheatre, located on the 4th floor of the Rackham School of Graduate Studies. It is free, and open to the public.

Lantos has served as a member of Congress since Jan. 3, 1981. He is currently serving his 14th term in the U.S. House of Representatives, and is the only Holocaust survivor ever to serve in Congress.

As a member of the U.S. House, Lantos has a strong record on environmental protection, has been a consistent supporter of public education, and is a leader in congressional oversight over federal government programs. As chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Lantos has played a leading role in U.S. international relations for more than two decades.

In 1983, he was the founder of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus, and continues to serve as its co-chairman. Lantos also serves on the board of the William Davidson Institute
