Purnachand Upadrashta Business Manager-South West Asia Solae Company India Pvt Ltd Purnachand manages The Solae Company’s BoP projects in India through the newly created business unit within Company which focuses on doing business in the Base of the Pyramid. The business unit directs its business activities two fold: 1) towards institutionalized food solutions and 2) towards co-created business models. The co-created business channel focuses on community empowerment and, through process and relationship development, communities are empowered and facilitated towards generating business which results in sustainable economic and social infrastructure growth.
Purnachand’s career spans 25 years in the Indian food industry with varied roles in R&D, Operations, Business Development and Strategic Marketing. His association spans across Protein Foods, Fruit & Vegetable products and Meat products. He holds a Masters degree in Food Technology from the University Bombay and a post-graduate diploma in Business Management from the International Management institute, New Delhi, India.
