Ricardo Charvel

He obtained a Law degree from the National University in Mexico City in 1988, a Master´s Degree in International Banking law from Boston University Law School in 1989 and in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Ricardo is member of the Board of the National Confederation of Industrial Chambers since 2006.
In 2005 he joined CEMEX, a global building solutions company, as Vice President of Institutional Relations and Communication for their Mexico operations where he also leads the home improvement microfinance initiatives. He worked 7 years in the energy industry from 1998 to 2005 for companies such as Enron in Mexico and Houston and Sempra Energy in San Diego. During this years he was involved in external affairs, deregulation, permitting, strategy and project development.
From 1995 to 1998 he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Mexico City where he was involved in projects related to water infrastructure, regional development, transportation and manufacturing among others. He worked for the Mexican Government at the Department of Fisheries from 1991 to 1994 as Director of Human Resources and as Chief of Staff.
From 1989 to 1991 he practiced law at a law firm in Mexico City.
