Sameer Hajee

Sameer currently manages the Aid and Development team at Freeplay Energy plc, a product development and manufacturing firm that designs off-grid, portable power solutions for both the developed and the developing world. Prior to Freeplay, Sameer was with UNDP and was responsible for the launch of both the Growing Sustainable Business and Global Compact initiatives in Kenya.
He has been involved with various start-ups in the semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley, as both a design engineer and manager. He has also worked in the telecom industry as a technical project manager for Afghanistan's largest mobile operator. Sameer graduated with an Electrical Engineering and Management degree from McMaster University in Canada, an MBA from INSEAD and has studied in Singapore, France and at the Wharton School of Business in the US.
