L N Balaji is the currently the President of ITC Infotech (USA) Inc. He has been with ITC since 1985 and has held diverse responsibilities across different businesses of the company. His assignments include managing the company’s indirect taxation, coordinating and consolidating an integrated plan for the company, managing investor relations and serving in the office of the Chairman, ITC.
Immediately prior to taking charge of ITC Infotech’s North American operations, Balaji was Head – Strategic Planning for ITC. During this stint he advised the Chairman on various strategic initiatives, particularly the ITC echoupal model. He was involved with the evolution of this pioneering initiative since inception in 2000 from a supply chain efficiency program to being a fulfillment channel for rural India. He was also responsible for strategizing and implementing growth through mergers and acquisitions.
A Bachelor of Commerce form the Madras University, Balaji is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
