Air Travel
EUC is working with Regency Travel of Ann Arbor on the air travel reservations for participants. We strongly encourage a Saturday night stay. EUC will pay only reasonable airfares if you do not stay a Saturday night. We ask you to contact Nancy Wistert at nwistert@yahoo.com or 1-800-223-6122 to make your reservations. Please mention “NGO Conference.” The use of any other travel agent will result in delayed reimbursement, the deduction of bank fees, and general administrative inconvenience. We very much appreciate your cooperation in this matter. By working with our agent, your plane ticket will be billed directly to the conference organizers. Be sure to keep the original passenger coupon (last page of your ticket) or, for an electronic ticket, your original itinerary with purchase price on it; and your boarding passes. This will ensure the compliance with the European Commission reimbursement regulations.
Deadline for air travel reservations: March 1, 2007
Questions about air travel may be directed to Beth Langenderfer at bal@umich.edu or 734-615-7317.
Local Ground Transportation
The William Davidson Institute (WDI) will arrange ground transportation from and to the Detroit Metro Airport for conference participants.
Questions about ground transportation may be directed to Kristen Roy at royk@umich.edu or 734-936-0041.
Other Travel Expenses
Please save all original receipts for any other transportation charges incurred, to facilitate reimbursement. We will provide you with a self-addressed stamped envelope at the conference, so that you can mail back the boarding passes for return flights, and any receipts.
Accomodations
WDI will arrange hotel reservations for participants; conference organizers will cover accommodation expenses for the nights of Wednesday, March 21 – Saturday, March 24.
Participants wishing to extend their stay or bring companions may ask for suitable reservations to be made on their behalf but will be responsible for meeting the additional costs.
Personal expenses such as room service, mini bar, telephone, or other services offered by the hotel must be paid by the participant directly to the hotel prior to departure.
Kristen Roy, royk@umich.edu, will send all hotel information to participants at a later date.
Meals
Refreshments and meals will be provided during the conference. We will not provide per diem or reimbursement for meals outside of what is offered during the conference program. Please see the participant itinerary for details on meals included.
