William Davidson Institute hosted roundtable on poor countries and the WTO

On July 13, 2004, the William Davidson Institute convened a roundtable discussion titled, "What can the World Trade Organization do for Poor Countries?" The discussion was introduced and moderated by WDI's First Distinguished Scholar, Madeleine Albright, and featured three experts on global trade and the WTO.

Globalization of Service Activities: Growth Catalyst or the Final Straw for US Workers?

The William Davidson Institute brought U.S. and developing country policymakers, business leaders and labor representatives to Capitol Hill in April 2004 to discuss the globalization of services.

Former U.S. Secretary of State and WDI Distinguished Scholar Madeleine Albright opened the conference by welcoming the participants and talking about the offshoring issue. University of Michigan Business School Professor C.K. Prahalad then gave an overview of the issue, laying the groundwork for the rest of the conference discussion.
