The Foundation for the Sustainable and Comunitarian Development of Colombia (FUNPROSPERAR) was founded in 1998 as “a multi-disciplinary team with technical and professional capacities dedicated to promoting fundamental values and favoring a continuous betterment and progress of the quality of life in Colombian communities, under the precepts of mutual respect, attention and service, aimed at promoting human development and protecting our environment.
As an environmental organization, FUNPROSPERAR’s primary social enterprise activity has been their paid consulting for Colombian municipalities in the areas of: health; operation and administration of water, sewer, and waste management; technical and environmental auditing; consulting on the restructuring of environmental management plans; and logistical services for training events.
