Instituto Senso
Sao Paulo, Brasil
In a research done in the first half of 2006, it was found that in South America there was no comprehensive data base about Latin American social enterprise initiatives. In August 2006, under coordination of Mrs. Deborah Iglesias, the first meeting with organizations, personalities of the social, academic, and enterprise areas were held to collect such data. With the findings from these mini-conferences, the idea of an institute of information and Social Projects Evaluation, the Senso, was created. Thus in January 2007, Senso was established. It is a civilian, non-profit association that offers to their associates the opportunity to generate socially responsible investments and communicate and share the results of their actions.
The institute Senso is an accessible and safe information tool for the analysis and evaluation of organizations and social investments. Investments are evaluated on economic standards, measuring the impact of Social and Environmental Projects. Primarily projects with the objective to grant subsidies to drive governmental, non-governmental, and enterprise social actions are reviewed.
Mission: to know, evaluate, and share the result of investments for efficient and integrated social actions.
Objective:
· To share the actions;
· To evaluate focus and efficiency of projects and programs;
· To identify, in a systematic and coherent way, the impact of the investments in the different target groups;
· To clearly monitor the progress and the evaluation of the projects;
· To generate reports with specific recommendations for the associates by category, subject, and investment, incorporating to the best strategies, Social Responsibility and with the objectives of the associate;
· To connect projects and actions with common objectives;
· To utilize secure methods to improve the Social Responsibilities programs;
