Founded on June 26th, 1988, “Oxigênio Development of Public and Social Policies” is a civil organization of public interest with judicial personality of private right, fee-free, which works promoting the social and educational development. Oxigênio has become a national reference in projects and programs for communities with a special focus on youth through unions and partnerships. Oxigênio plans, organizes, manages, implants and gives support to actions and programs for the development of education, empowering and training young and adult people.

Oxigênio’s mission is to enable activities that focus on constructible experiences, making possible the human contact in a positive way, minimizing traumas of negative life experiences and opening perspectives attending young people between 14 and 24 years old and their relatives, looking for a future of equality that allows them to become true citizens. 

Oxigênio Development of Public and Social Policies counts on over 20 private companies and governmental institutions, partners which help in education, professionalizing and development of these young people.

Since its foundation, the entity has attended in the whole country over 128.6 thousand teenagers and adults directly and 680 thousand people indirectly.

Oxigênio Development of Public and Social Policies looks for growth in the number of funds as well as in political and social relevance, hoping to increase its concrete results which are able to turn people into citizens who exercise their fundamental rights. It is also our aim to broaden its projects and recruit a higher number of partners to participate in the full development of young people and increase the entity’s work achieving the desired social transformations. With everyone involved – aware that if each one makes a small contribution, it may be possible to accomplish a work pointed toward the creation and dissemination in large scale of programs that use education as a path to the human development of young and adult people, tapping into potential and abilities for life.
