·       Globalization of Services
·       Green Leap Initiative

P  Proposed projects addressing any of these areas will be given precedence.

This year WDI will again offer two types of Global Impact Internships: the student-initiated and the WDI initiative-driven.
  • Student-Initiated Global Impact Internships will be with organizations identified by the applicants that are doing innovative work in emerging market economies, such as development-oriented NGOs.  Applicants are responsible for contacting the organization, co-defining the opportunity, and obtaining a written commitment from the sponsor before submitting a proposal to WDI. Proposals focusing on Base of the Pyramid, the Business of Healthcare, Green Technology, or Globalization of Services are encouraged.  WDI will award a fellowship of up to $10,000 and up to $1500 reimbursement for travel to/from the internship location.

WDI will post these internship opportunities on a rolling basis as they become available, with a complete listing of projects targeted by mid January 2009.  WDI will award a fellowship of up to $10,000 and up to $1500 reimbursement for travel to/from the internship location.
